The development of Integrated Constructed Wetlands (ICW) concept over the past two decades for use in the treatment of polluted wastewater through natural biological processes. ICWs integrate the sustainable management of land, water and biological resources consistent with the ecosystem approach, to promote conservation and to enhance biodiversity. In addition they have the potential to deliver on a substantial range of ecosystem services, including flood attenuation, amenity and recreation.

Anne Valley Angling Complex is encompassed in the "Anne Valley Walk" which is open to the public and comprises eleven man made lakes, fed by natural springs and includes the Anne River with it's stock of wild brown trout. The complex covers approx. 60 acres and stretches for 2.2 kilometers from Dunhill village to historic Dunhill castle.
